About Precision Catering

Precision Catering was founded by Head Chef, Adam Newington, in 2005.

Adam spent 24 years learning his trade as a chef in the British Army’s Royal Catering Corps. During that time he was proud to cook for the late Queen Elizabeth II at Balmoral, as part of the Royal Guard.

It was out in war zones that Adam honed his organisational skills, often having to make do and find solutions to problems in the most difficult of conditions and circumstances.

Adam attributes his army experience to being a wonderful background for learning all aspects of his trade today. Living out the extremes of going from the basics of getting quantities of good, hot food to the troops in the worst possible situations to learning the art of creating fine cuisine for grand occasions, has given him a robust work ethic which has inspired him to be so passionate about cuisine today. His background means that he is comfortable about and capable of cooking anywhere, in any situation.

As well as year-round catering fine dining and events, every year Precision Catering and some of the team spend their Christmas and Boxing Day providing festive lunches for homeless or lonely people in Hastings with the Surviving Christmas charity. They also assist in the creation of the 800 hampers or so that are delivered to the homes of deprived or lonely people at Christmas. A very worthy cause and a job well done.
